WHAT EVEN IS SEE YOURSELF?
See yourself suggests that we are not merely individuals, but interconnected parts of a greater whole. While I don’t believe in literal reincarnation, I do believe our purpose is collective; we are life itself. The odds of our existence are staggering, and instead of focusing on our individual stories, we should recognise our shared experiences.
Life is a gift, yet we often ignore the suffering of others. See Yourself teaches that we can inhabit different roles through time and that our consciousness connects us. Realising our insignificance allows us to see our true purpose: to experience life and create through love.
Unity in Diversity is crucial. Ignoring others leads to suffering, and we must prioritise life over death. We should embody the idea of “See Yourself,” recognising our shared humanity. This movement aims to inspire a collective identity of peace, challenging the powers that perpetuate harm.
Cultural Commentary highlights how societal constructs keep us divided. By understanding our shared struggles—be it loneliness, societal cages, or the privilege of some—we can work towards liberation for all.
Ultimately, if life is the answer, our focus must shift to valuing each other. Together, we can break free from cycles of hate and strive for a future built on love and understanding. This is the essence of “See Yourself.”
Consciousness. We are in a constant state of now. The past and future are an illusion. No one has ever visited the past or future and we will forever live in that flow as conscious beings. Any thoughts of the past or future is an effort happening in the now further strengthening the initial point.
The gift of life. Life existed long before us and will exist long after us. Our privilege is to simply experience that as letters in the grand book of life, yet what if each letter was to see itself in the other? We could write our own story as one of compassion and understanding. The odds of your existence are incredible. 8 billion of us are given the unlikely gift of life and every single one of us are lucky to experience that. Our insignificance and privilege enables us to be and do whatever we want, be it religiously, scientifically, patriotically, politically, creatively or modernly. Our significance is to free those caged as we hold the key of life through love.
Life And Love. We’ve already acknowledged, that we’re in a constant flow of ‘now’ and that our gift of life is to simply experience. As said, ‘life existed long before us and will exist long after us’. If life is the answer, love is the constant question we ask to keep that flow going both biologically and socially. If love and life is the priority, death and hate is the enemy of a lost humanity.
Time obviously exists. The arrow of time and entropy from the Big Bang, shows the natural development of time and irreversibility in our forever changing universe. Time always moves forward just like we age. A baby is born pure as our universe is born organised. As time goes on, our universe falls further out of order something we can’t control, yet our humanity seems to do so also, which is something we can control.
Conclusion. Differentiating between our physical universe and our capable consciousness, we can emphasise the priority of life and love over death and hate through amplifying our interconnectedness rather than our individuality in order to experience our ever-changing universe, world and life to the fullest. This effort starts with you and the only time we can do it is ‘now’.
